I love this! My mom raised us this way and I just remember how much fun we had growing up. I hope to do the same with my kid.

There’s also a great book called Playful Parenting by Lawrence Cohen that I highly recommend for even more ideas on how to incorporate this style into your parenting practice.

Great explanation and many helpful suggestions. Playing outside has always been one of my favorites, playing hide and seek, playing softball, riding bikes, going on (scavenger) hunts, going on nature walks. Collecting leaves, acorns, stones, shells.
