Thank you so much for sharing this. As mothers, we often try to take on everything on our own. I am not sure why- I think it is a societal thing that makes us think that is what we have to do. I am glad these studies show better ways for our mental health.
I am not sure why we try to be super moms either. I love that we are starting to see studies like this come out to show how we as parents can have better long term mental health.
I can’t help but feel amused that the study correlates “shared parenting” with better mental health and also states 85% of surveys were filled by mothers.
Love this post! I completely agree with the idea of both partners being there for one another rather than one partner simply helping when needed. I feel like this is a common issue when it comes to parenting. Love to see research that looks into parental wellness!
