Is it terrible that I'm not surprised by the stats? This breaks my heart. We need to advocate for ourselves more in all ways but especially in healthcare. Unfortunately, some of the worst infractions are by female HCPs themselves.

My OB is female, we are in a midsize town, she's one of the only docs that takes medicaid- she was constantly slammed, and prenatal visits were so short. But I wonder if she really has a choice if she wants her practice to survive.

This is one of the most concerning studies I have read recently. Thank you for covering it. We need to better advocate for ourselves, the women we know and the women we don’t know. For far too long “female” medical issues have been ignored or downplayed by medical staff

Finding nuanced advice was so challenging when I had my last kid- I was no longer *diehard* breast is best but finding something in between Kellymom/la leche league and baby center was basically impossible.
