Could you recommend some specific books to read our children about growth mindset like you mentioned? (And for what age ranges they are?) Great interview!

Hi Lindsay!

For littles I like "the little engine that could"

For late elementary/middle school age "The secret garden" and "Charlotte's web" "heidi" and "Little Women"

For high school: The grapes of wrath

Though honestly, you can teach growth mindset through a conversation on nearly any book. You can talk to your kids about how a character wasn't or was using it. How they persevered or didn't as the case may be. I just wrote about this last week if that's helpful. I'm sure Dr. Goodwin will have some good ideas too!

PS my oldest is super in love with the piano right now!

If I can plug my newsletter (Dr. Goodwin pls feel free to delete!), I wrote about my favorite children's books about persistence and overcoming fear of failure / giving up. You can find it here: https://readablemoments.substack.com/p/six-books-to-encourage-persistence
